Vivosun 4×4 Hydroponic Grow Tent

What’s included:

  • Tent body
  • Metal poles and connector
  • Filter straps
  • Floor tray
  • Hanging bar
This 4×4 grow tent is created by Vivosun and it does not disappoint. When looking for a grow tent you want to make sure it has enough openings and a good zipper. Cheaper grow tents tend to have weak zippers that can snage and break, this does not happen with this grow tent.

It is very easy to set this grow tent up and took about me about 20 min and it was my first time setting up a grow tent. Like all Vivosun products they have great customer service and product support.

The metal poles are strong and are able to hold a lot of weight approx 100lbs this allows you to hang your grow light and any fans or carbon filter you have.

How Many Plants Grow In A 4×4 tent?

The amount of plants to grow in a 4×4 grow tent is between 6 – 8 if you are using 3 gallon pots. If you are using 5 gallon pots it may be best to have no more then 4 max.

What size fan for 4×4 grow tent?

Using a 4-inch fan and carbon filter is the cheapest and most effective in a 4×4 grow tent. This will allow for air flow to happen between air outside and inside the tent.

Air flow is highly important when growing plants since it helps strengthen the plants against the wind to hold more fruit and buds.

What led for 4×4 grow tent?

Finding the right led for your 4×4 grow tent comes down to a few things your budget and desired coverage. Most led grow lights cover 4×4 for veg but only 3.5×3.5 for flower, that means the outer bud sites will receive a little less light. What size carbon filter do I need for a 4×4 tent?

This is a affordable and well reviewed carbon filter from vivosun. In fact this is the same one I use as well and have no problems with mine. I plan to keep order another one soon since you need to replace your carbon filter every 8 – 12 months. After a few grows it will become less effective so keep that in mind.

In a 4×4 grow tent a 4-inch carbon filter is perfect for this size tent there is no need to go bigger.

There are 4 different ways to set up your carbon filter and fan with your 4×4 grow tent. Make sure to use one of the 4 options in the picture when setting yours up.

Option 1 is what I use and is the most common and preferred method of set up. This allows you to keep everything inside the 4×4 grow tent, every other method requires the fan or carbon filter outside the grow tent.

To me this defeats the purpose of the grow tent since we want to keep everything within the 4×4 grow tent to save on space and have low chance of smell leaks.

Do grow tents keep the smell in?

Yes they can keep smell in if used correctly and with the right fan and carbon filter set up. You will need to make sure you exhaust the tent air not in the same room as the tent as it can increase the heat and you want to avoid recirculating that air back into the grow tent.
